We are a diverse community of globally minded leaders and learners committed to shaping a better world.

Founded in 1987, ABA educates the next generation of leaders and innovators, inspiring them to make a positive impact on their world. The leading International Baccalaureate Continuum School in Oman, and a non-profit, ABA enrolls over 940 students from Kindergarten through Grade 12, representing over 65 countries.

For over 30 years, we've been providing students with the skills for an ever-changing future. Today, we must plan for technologies and professions not yet invented that will likely be key to defining global interaction in the future. We need to help our students find comfort with change and develop a genuine sense of flexibility and adaptability. Experiences as members of problem-solving teams and meaningful opportunities to travel and to see and experience the rich diversity of our world build this foundation.

At ABA, we meet students where they are and provide them with the tools they need for success. We focus on the whole child to ensure balance, support, and success. Our small class sizes allow faculty to get to know students on a personal level and understand how to help them best.   ABA promotes academic excellence within a context of intercultural understanding and respect.

ABA students will discover amazing learning experiences, inspirational faculty members, countless sports and clubs, and a wide range of supports that care for their academic, social and emotional needs — not to mention a lifelong, global network of friends.

A GLOBAL MINDSET

We believe intercultural awareness is to respectfully share and celebrate our sense of self, cultural identities and common humanity within our local and global communities.  With students from over 70 nationalities and staff from over 20 nationalities, ABA's diversity expands your child's learning.

The Council of International Schools (CIS) desires to provide students with the knowledge, skills and abilities to pursue their lives as global citizens; and ensures schools are committed to delivering high-quality international education.  To achieve accreditation from the CIS, ABA must infuse their programmes and offerings with international and intercultural perspectives so that students can move forward with the attitudes and understanding that will provide them with a solid base wherever their studies or work may take them.

Accreditation from the Middle States Association ensures the entire school - not just test scores - are evaluated to help schools achieve excellence in management, strategy, trustworthiness, and commitment to continuous improvement.  The MSA-CESS accreditation is important to us as it offers families assurance that we are a school with long-term plans and trust in daily operations.

Other areas where our commitment to quality is evident include: the highly respected International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum offered through all grades; certified, quality teachers; and being a leading school for child safeguarding.
