Applying to ABA

We make a point of getting to know our students well -  their interests, aspirations, and areas for growth both in and outside of the classroom as the more we know, the more we can support your journey at ABA.  Complete the online application form to provide us with more detailed information.

ABA offers rolling admissions meaning that if we have space, we are happy to consider your application now, or as soon as you are ready - so apply early.

To apply, please have these documents ready digitally.

• Copy of Passport
• Copy of Oman Resident Cards (if applicable)
• Current and previous year school reports (Must be officially translated into English and notarized)
• Official school records and/or transcripts for past 2 years.
• Provide any and all formal and informal documentation identifying learning and behavioural needs (if applicable).

A non-refundable application fee of 75 OMR is required for each application submitted to ABA.  This fee does not guarantee placement.

If you pay via bank transfer, please email a copy of the transfer receipt to the Admissions Director - registrar@abaoman.org, along with the name of the applicant/s so that the payment be applied appropriately.

Students applying for Kindergarten to Grade 5 may be invited to visit a classroom as part of the admissions process.

Students applying for Grades 3 to 12 will be scheduled a placement screener at the appropriate time to provide the school with baseline skills equivalent in language and mathematics.

ABA accepts applications on a rolling basis throughout the year, subject to availability of spaces.  There is no set application deadline but we do have waitlists for our classes and the earlier you can apply, the better.

Students are responsible for being neat, clean and dressed appropriately for serious study.  Students are expected to take responsibility for their attire based on these codes and come to school dressed in an appropriate manner with a well-groomed appearance. In respect of our host culture, all clothing should be loose-fitting and plain (i.e. no embroidery, large logos, excessive rivets, large/numerous pockets, etc.) 

ABA DRESS CODE

Class sizes can vary from year to year.  We use the following guide for class assignments.

• 16 students for FC1 and FC2 - this class also has a full-time teacher assistant
• 20 students for Kindergarten  - these classes also have a full-time teacher assistant
• 22 students from Grades 1 to 10.  Grades 1 to 3 have full or part-time teacher assistants
• 18 students per subject class for Grades 11 and 12.
