The ABA Way

Welcome to ABA's 2020–2021 School Year. What you are about to read is the result of our work over the past several months to create a plan for the 2020–2021 school year. Although this webpage will provide some details about the logistics of opening school in a number of possible scenarios, it is not final. We will continue to be flexible and make changes to our plan as we move forward and learn more.

The safety of the ABA community—students, staff, families, and friends—remains our number one priority and concern. Please know that as we continue to monitor and adhere to current and updated regulatory guidelines and recommendations, our plans and arrangements may change. We have framed our reopening plan to allow flexible action whenever necessary to ensure a full education for all our students throughout the year.

Our multi-layered approach also acknowledges the important partnership between families and our School in support of student well-being. As we implement safety requirements on campus, we will be asking for and relying on family support to ensure continuity, health, and success for our students. We need to come together as a community to help to keep everyone healthy.

While we cannot eliminate risk, we will minimize it by implementing strict safety measures and protocols. Inevitably, this will mean that our on-campus education next year will look different from a normal ABA experience. Nevertheless, the core and essence of an ABA education will be vibrant, and we believe it will provide our students with an enriching, engaging experience.

DISTANCE LEARNING PLAN

FROM AUGUST 25th

Distance learning is a term that describes a scenario in which students are learning remotely and classes are not permitted on campus.

ABA released its distance learning plan on August 13th, 2020.

DISTANCE LEARNING PLAN

BLENDED LEARNING PLAN

FROM NOVEMBER 1ST

The term “blended learning” is used to describe times when both in-person learning and distance learning are taking place. Blended or Hybrid learning defines a time when some students are learning from home (for health, safety, or scheduling reasons) and some students are attending school in person. During blended learning a reduced number of students are permitted on the campus at any one time.

FACE TO FACE LEARNING PLAN

TBC

When the Face to Face learning model is implemented the school is able to offer all activities and programmes with all staff and students on campus. Some safety precautions will be in place to reduce risk.
