DELE certification

 

We are happy to announce that ABA will be the first DELE examination center in Oman. 

A big thank you to Mr Miguel Vasquez, our DELE coordinator who managed to get us through this process. Mr Vasquez is also one of our Spanish teachers in ABA Lingo as well as our learning support teacher in Elementary. 

We would also like to thank the Spanish Embassy who helped us speed up the process to become an examination center with the Instituo Cervantes in Madrid.

 

What is the DELE? 

DELE stands for Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera (Diploma of Spanish as a Foreign Language).

These diplomas are official titles certifying the degree of competence of the Spanish language.

Spain’s Ministry of Education grants the certification. Only the Instituto Cervantes and the examination centers approved by them can organize examination sessions.  

DELE’s levels (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2) correspond to the level of the Common European Framework for Languages. To know more about these levels, visit the Instituto Cervantes website here. 

 

Why take the exam?

 DELE certification is recognized worldwide, and is a diploma valid for life.

 

When? 

The first dele exam will take place on 17th and 18th May 2024.
